Fabric and weave database
Eighteen woven fabrics with fibre, structure, sett, picks, width, weight and price. Sort any column, filter by fibre or weave, expand a row for the detail, and compare up to three side by side.
Typical published values
Sett, picks, weight and price are typical ranges for each fabric class, gathered so you can compare structures. They are not a specification for any one product, and your yarn and finish will move every number.

Reading the columns
- Sett is ends per inch at the loom, before finishing. A fabric can be 16 EPI on the loom and 19 EPI in the cloth.
- Picks is weft picks per inch. In a weft-faced weave such as tapestry this runs far higher than the sett.
- Weight in g/m² is the finished cloth. Two fabrics at the same sett can differ by 200 g because of yarn thickness.
- Price is a typical retail figure per metre for a mid-range cloth, in yuan.
Using it to plan
Find the fabric closest to what you want to make, then read its sett and picks as a starting point for your own warp. Take the sett to the Sett Calculator to get a reed and an ends-per-dent, and the width and length to the Warp & Weft Calculator for the ends and the yarn mass.
Then sample. A published sett is a starting point, not a result: your yarn count, your beat and your finish will all move it.
